For the first time in Brussels, Youssou NDour, icon of world music and one of Africa’s most beautiful voices performed ‘Le Grand Bal’ with his group Super Étoile of Dakar at the Palais 12, one of Brussel’s iconic concert halls.
A selection of up and coming Belgian personalities came together to open the event, which included Cécile Djunga (Belgian comedian), ‘the Voice’ star Lubiana as well as Sister Yaki.
Youssou NDour and the Super Étoile of Dakar performed for over two hours, offering the packed hall an abundance of colour, energy and keeping them on their feet until late into the night. The crowd was a mix of world music lovers and the Senegalese diaspora.
Phrenos managed to coordinate, communicate and implement the organization of the concert in less than 3 months, through a dedicated press and social media marketing campaign, whilst managing all ticket sales and the entire logistical set-up and operations.
